Josè Angelino

10 december 2015

Alessandra Bonomo Gallery is pleased to announce an exhibition of new work by Josè Angelino. Glass, gas, metal and water are the elements out of which Angelino creates his works. Through his pieces he aims to reproduce the northern lights, using noble gases and electricity to generate currents of colours within glass structures, that vary according to the type of gas utilised. Angelino’s work is based on a study of argon gas reactions in vacuum-‐sealed environments and on the activation of drawings that emerge from these reactions. By modifiying the internal space of glass structures through barriers that alter the natural behaviour of electric currents, Angelino constructs and generates diffusion of light according to obliged new paths.
