Graeme Todd\u2019s exhibition \u2018Street Hermit\u2019, is the first significant survey of the artist\u2019s work to be presented in Scotland since his solo show at the Fruitmarket Gallery in Edinburgh in 2000.<\/p>\n

Since 1989 Todd has produced a compelling body of work employing a distinctive combination of drawing and painting to explore the subject of \u2018landscape\u2019 in its broadest sense. The exhibition at Summerhall will feature work from key periods in the development of Todd\u2019s practice, including paintings from the \u2018Street Hermit\u2019 series \u2013 from which the exhibition takes its name \u2013 produced in 2016 while on a residency at the Eremo Santa Maria Maddalena on Monteluco in the Appennine Mountains of Umbria, and as a guest of the Sol LeWitt studio in nearby Spoleto.<\/p>\n
