Alessandra Bonomo gallery is pleased to announce an exhibition of new works by Alessandro Twombly, whose first solo show was held in 1986 in the gallery’s spaces of Santa Apollonia Square. The show combines sculpture and paintings on canvas and paper. In the artist’s work nature is metamorphic: whether it is flowers, water springs or desert visions. The bronze sculpture, “Projection,” which is the cornerstone of the exhibition, recalls the striking power of nature; while the three great blue paintings on canvas, represent the propelling power of water, the creator of the Oasis of Nefta, Siwa, and Tamia in the Sahara Desert.
